Fancy 2016 black and white Appaloosa X Friesian filly with a star and big spot on her big behind! Sorpresa is by Gateway Farm’s sport type Foundation bred fewspot, Blue Ghostwind TLC out of the full papered FHANA mare, Frederica I. She is built uphill with lots of substance, correct legs and that Friesian “look at me” noble stance! Sorpresa is super feminine yet loaded with Friesian character—big round neck, well muscled hindquarters, great bone, and tons of hair! Her sire, Blue Ghostwind is a leggy 16h with lots of suspension and expression in his movement. Her dam, Frederica has stallion like presence and three fantastic gaits! Sorpresa is friendly and well handled. She is light and catty on her feet, has good reach and suspension, and moves naturally balanced and uphill. She has excellent use of her hind leg, and a notably balanced canter. With her conformation, movement, and temperament, Sorpresa should do well in any sport horse discipline, but would make a really fancy dressage or driving horse! Although only showing limited coloring at this time, based on her sire’s genetic color test (LP/LP, PATN1/PATN1), we believe Sorpresa will “color out” over time and will surely stand out with her exceptional presence and unique coloring! String test says Sorpresa should mature 16-16.1h!
